Abstract


With the deepening of the reform of English teaching, how to effectively to high school English teaching and learning become a topic of hot debate. Outline the new requirement of English teaching and English new curriculum standard for middle school English teachers' teaching and students' learning proposed the new challenge. To this end, the author combined with his own teaching practice, autonomous learning under the background of how to effectively improve the English teaching and learning in a discussion, aim to provide positive Suggestions for future teaching practice. Method based on the research background, train of thought as the breakthrough point, define the meaning of autonomous learning, and on the theory of autonomous learning, autonomous learning are expounded in detail under the background of high school English teachers' and students' roles and the corresponding strategies of teaching and learning. Based on the topic for discussion and research, the author believes that the teachers' role will contribute to more fully excavating the potential of students, high school English teaching and learning in the future will be more in line with the demand of times development.
