Abstract


Improving and perfecting of the reinsurance market is necessary to ensure the healthy and stable development of the insurance market , however , the development of China 's reinsurance market is seriously lagging behind in the direct insurance market , reinsurance insufficient supply capacity , inefficient prominent problem . Industrial organization theory organizational elements is one of the key factors of production in the market , the market structure of the enterprise market behavior and thus affect the fundamentals of the market performance , build effective reinsurance market structure is the basis for promoting the development of the reinsurance market . This article first briefly review our re- insurance market, the development of the history and reality of situation , and then according to the theory of industrial organization SCP paradigm , since the accession to the WTO of the reinsurance market market structure and its changes do empirical research on the market, the main market behavior and market performance examined the reality that China 's reinsurance market concentration have decreased substantially, the market structure has been close to a monopoly of the market transition to an oligopoly market concentration is still very high : With China 's reinsurance market supply capacity increased significantly , but still can not meet the evolving needs of our reinsurance market ; With the decline in China 's reinsurance market concentration , market performance has been greatly improved .
