Abstract


With globalization and approaching of knowledge economy, the tendency of global managing and marketing competition is becoming increasingly obvious. And consequently, individual inclination and uncertainty of user expectations has been constantly strengthened. In addition, the rapid development of high and new technology, improved production efficiency, shorten product replacement cycle, exacerbated by the intense market competition arising there from. Enterprise management how to adapt to the new competition arising there from environment, has become entrepreneurs, and theoretically the focus of attention of the author. Inventory control is a key issue in the supply chain management for a munufacturing enterprise. Stock is the intersection of logsitics flow, it links up the most important joints of purchase and production, production and sales, wholesaling and retailing. Furthermore, stock is the important hinge of the material flow, and also the important crossing of information transfer. It is a key factor for the enterprise to increase its competition capability through the way of optimizing the inventory management, ruducing the inventory level and controlling the stock cost.From the beginning of the article, the brief information of SONY Chemicals (Suzhou) Co., Ltd is been brought forth . In addition, the situation of printed cable is also described in it. This paper presented the target of the inventory control and analyzed the current situation of SONY Chemical’s ERP system and found a countermeasure how to reset it. It observed a countermeasure how to improve the inventory level after analyzing the current situation of raw materials ( including the main materials, common materials, low-cost and short lived products),semi-finished products and finished products. It set up a flexible and dynamic inventory control system. This system can calculate the stock of semi-finished products, finished products and the raw materials according to the changes of the order from the customer. So, the data in the system can be updated automatically. The inventory in the warehouse could be watched all the time. The aboved project is finished, the target of the inventory in SONY Chemical can be achieved. The paper proposed a thought how to manage the stock. The author hope that the way how to control the stock can be used in the industry.
