Abstract

Constructing library of active marine anaerobic bacteria not only helps us to exploit the resource of officinal marine anaerobic bacteria and enlarge the new species and number, but also provides the prerequisite of marine bacterial antibiotics studies.Marine photosynthetic bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria are two major classes in marine anaerobic bacteria. Their morphological structure and physiological function have many characteristics. Their metabolizing enzymes and secondary metabolites are significantly different from the marine aerobic bacteria. Therefore, constructing library of marine photosynthetic bacterial and sulfate-reducing bacteria with activity is very important for screening new antibiotics and exploiting new drugs. The purpose of this study is to construct the library of marine photosynthetic bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria with activity. The samples were collected from the Yellow Sea, Bo Sea and East Sea of china. Marine photosynthetic bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria were enriched and isolated. Marine anaerobic bacteria with antibacterial activity screened from the isolated bacteria. The taxonomic characteristics of 3 strains of marine photosynthetic bacteria were studied. Furthermore, one strain of active marine bacteriumA01 was identified. Finally, 132 strains were isolated, and among these strains 80 strains were marine photosynthetic bacteria, 52 strains were marine sulfate-reducing bacteria. A hundred and four strains with antibacterial activity were screened from 116 strains. The taxonomic studies indicated that the morphologic characteristics of 3 strains of marine photosynthetic bacteria were distinct, and one strain was aerobiotic in dark. The strain A01 with intraspecies resistance belonged to marine bacteria Bacillus subtilis.
