Abstract


Engineering Graphics experiment is an important part of the teaching of Engineering Graphics. With the development of virtual reality technology, engineering graphics virtual experiment is gradually coming into the experimental teaching in colleges and universities. The use of virtual reality technology developed by Engineering Graphics experimental software, experimental methods and means graphics breakthrough contribution, which aims to reform the traditional backward experimental methods and means to provide students with a sense of immersion and interactivity for Experimental Software in the successful completion of the traditional experiment can not achieve a variety of graphics experiments at the same time, you can also set up many innovative experiments. According to Engineering Graphics experiment, for different purposes, Engineering Graphics virtual experiment divided into four experimental modules: plane and solid intersecting the disassembly of the experiment, three-dimensional and three-dimensional intersecting experiments, the combination configuration design of experiments and virtual components experiments. Combination of configuration design experiments include: target configuration designed experiments, interpret blueprints configuration experiment, creative configuration experiment; the virtual component disassembly experiments include: assembly sequence verification experiment, disassembly sequence verification experiment. By analyzing the characteristics of each experiment, the experimental model is selected, the method for establishing research model. In this paper, two methods to establish the experimental model: computer graphics technology-based approach, based on the three-dimensional modeling software. Virtual Reality Modeling Language VRML and programming language Java as a platform for interactive control of the experimental operation, VRML and Java communication technology. In the system design process, a number of core algorithm and use the program, including: plane and three-dimensional intersecting algorithm, after cutting the three-dimensional view of the algorithm, the collision detection algorithm in the assembly configuration in the design of experiments, virtual components demolition loaded the experimental collision detection algorithm. The virtual experiment system has the following characteristics: 1, web-based platform. The system requires only a computer connected to the network as the server. Students through the Internet Engineering Graphics virtual experiment; 2, experiments flexibility. Experimenter according to the specific requirements of the purpose of the experiment and the experimental manipulations, in accordance with need to customize the control model experiment; 3, the experimental operation of interactivity. With the experimenter on the operation of the three-dimensional model, three-dimensional model in response to changes in a timely manner and real-time display to the experimenter; 4, the view changes in real time. Intersecting line experiment of the plane and three-dimensional, three-dimensional model of change at the same time, the experimenter can see on the same page view model change. The main innovations include: design and planning throughout the drawings to learn the contents of the virtual experiment 2, depending on the experimental content selected typical experimental model to study the model; 3, the use of VRML and Java implementation the design of the entire system and all windows (including virtual model display window, experimental interoperate window) are displayed in the same Web page; 4, according to the technology of computer graphics experiment, three-dimensional and three-dimensional plane and three-dimensional intersecting intersection test Design and assembly configurations experimental model, to achieve the freedom of the experiment in control; 5, the algorithm for the system part of the experiment were analyzed and studied. With the continuous development of virtual reality technology, engineering graphics virtual experiment has become more mature, and become an integral part of the teaching of engineering graphics. Based on the successful development of the of Engineering Graphics experimental system of virtual reality technology, will fill the blank graphics virtual experiment platform of great significance to improve the quality of teaching, improve teaching experiment.
