Abstract


In recent years, the domestic research on Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and college English teaching has been widely appreciated, and related research is also rich, but most of the research is mainly Pan college English teaching, research also not deep enough, not enough refinement. Although the use of computer-aided means to promote the study of the College English Reading Teaching also attracted the attention of the people, but computer-assisted language teaching and research in the country is still rare for vocational English teaching reading. Reading has an extremely important role to enhance the students' English proficiency. Vocational students basic English is generally poor, lack of interest in learning, and higher vocational English teaching reading teaching methods and means are too single, which makes the teaching of reading becomes more monotonous and boring. Therefore, how to improve and enrich their teaching methods and means to further enhance the effectiveness of teaching, better stimulate students' interest in learning and initiative, to become the imperative of higher vocational English teaching reading. This paper describes the theoretical basis of the computer-assisted language teaching and vocational teaching of English reading (including the theory of the Tower of experience, language input theory and schema theory), combined with the current teaching situation and the author's teaching experience, this study explores the CALL applied to the necessity, possibility and feasibility of the the Vocational English reading teaching, and research based on empirical research. Vocational sophomore with professional two parallel classes (29 students each) randomly selected by the author in Shandong Institute of excellence, divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group and 58 students per class. Pre-test showed that no significant difference between the two groups of students in English reading level. The use of computer-assisted language teaching, the experimental group and the control group still use traditional teaching methods and means. After ten weeks of teaching, I conducted a post-test of the level of English reading tests resulting data for statistical analysis using SPSS statistical analysis showed: the experimental group interest in learning English, and the initiative has been significantly improved; reading test scores significantly higher than the control group. Therefore, studies have shown that computer-assisted language teaching has a positive significant effect of higher vocational English teaching reading. The reason, the study suggests that: 1) computer-assisted language teaching learning materials and the knowledge and skills vivid, intuitive, visualization, and greatly reduces the learning curve; 2) the authenticity of computer-assisted language teaching language environment, showing diversity of content and interactive teaching process greatly stimulated the interest of the students' English language learning, enhanced learning initiative; 3) computer-assisted language teaching text, pictures, sound, video, network diversity of modern teaching methods, the use of multi-sensory teaching methods, the the \The study on how to correctly use computer-aided English Teaching proposed rationalization of recommendations: teachers should be continuously updated concepts of education, focusing on strengthening the interaction, communication and exchange between teachers and students, the better to play computer-assisted language teaching in higher vocational English teaching reading role in promoting further endeavor to vocational high school students training to become a qualified national society of higher technical talents. A combination of computer-assisted language teaching and vocational teaching of English reading, however, is still a relatively new field of research, how beneficial combination of both practice there are still many problems need to be further in-depth study and perfect.
