Abstract


Poetry Translation unanimously recognized as the most difficult field of translation . Where the transmission of sound is one of the difficulties in Poetry Translation . Sound is an important component of poetry . Instead of using language as the messenger , poets choose words both for voice and for meaningful use sound as a means to enhance meaning . This shows the level and significance of poetry voice level close relationship . Iconicity theory that language directly reflect the structure and form of conceptual and empirical structure . That is, the language of the form and content of the existence of a fundamental link . Iconicity theory reveals the linguistic form and content of the relationship between iconicity for poetry translation research provides a new perspective . This paper will Iconicity in Poetry in the transmission of sound . Iconicity refers to the form of symbols and their meaning in the real world or the world we perceive objects and similar between the concepts . Iconicity includes three types : image iconicity , intended as iconicity and metaphor as iconicity . Iconic image refers to a form of ( sound ) and the direct relationship between the content . Simulacra iconicity refers to the language and it expresses the structural characterization of the contents of structural similarity . In 2006 the University of Vienna convened ' language and literature iconicity ' forum enumerates the sound level iconicity forms, including onomatopoeia , sound symbol , rhyme and rhythm , which became part of the case studies in this thesis structural framework . Du Fu's poetry through the analysis of sound transmission , the thesis that the use iconicity approach helps to achieve sound effects . Translator's task is to retain the original poem in Translated iconicity . In the poem , the sound reflects the significance of poetry . Translator in the translation of the original poem form to use when iconicity body phenomena like sex . Thus, the original poem 's meaning can be fully reflected. Iconicity theory makes the combination of sound and meaning as possible, so that the sound Translated and significance of natural and consistent . It must be noted that article does exaggerate the role of iconicity , but also not to deny the linguistic sign is arbitrary, but for poetry translation provide a new perspective and to expand the scope of Poetry .
