Abstract


Literary translation, as one of the human spirit shared culture, greatly promote the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures. This paper argues that the principles of cooperation proposed by Grice provides a new perspective and a new method for the study of literary translation. From the point of view of the principle of cooperation to explore literary translation as a translation session cycle between the original author, the translator and the target language readers turn; translator in this cycle since a cross-cultural communication bridge structures through the translation successful session, asked readers to the original author. In this paper, the short story \In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this article is divided into three sections. The introductory section mainly on literary translation and the importance of the principles of cooperation, and pointed out that the scope and purpose of this thesis. The article aims to explore the principles of cooperation in literary translation and its value to the English translation, \The first chapter briefly introduces the theory of Grice's cooperative principles origins and theoretical significance. Grice words used in communication are not irrelevant, they are to some extent the result of cooperation; session participants will recognize one or a set of common purpose, at least within a certain range, or at least have a common direction. Obviously, translation is a language behavior, is also a non-verbal session cycle, more emphasis on compliance with the principles of cooperation. The second chapter discusses the principles of cooperation and literary texts, literary translation, the general theory of relationship.
