Abstract


China's current shortcomings of traditional teaching English vocabulary learning difficulties led to junior high school students , learning English vocabulary into the shackles . And actively explore effective learning strategies summarize is to reduce the burden on students , improve teaching efficiency vocabulary for students to lay the foundation for lifelong learning an important way . Paper for English vocabulary learning strategies to O'Malley and Chamot (1990) classification based learning strategies . According to O'Malley and Chamot 's classification of vocabulary learning strategies are divided into three categories: metacognitive strategies, cognitive strategies and affective strategies . This article surveys the third secondary school students JiuTaiShi vocabulary learning strategies situation, and 200 study characteristics and their tendency to use the vocabulary learning strategies are discussed . Methods of data collection , including questionnaires and interviews . Study found that one in vocabulary learning concept, JiuTaiShi against the adoption of the third secondary school students to remember words by rote , but should be generally considered in the context and through the use of words to remember . 2, in the learning strategy, JiuTaiShi third secondary school students , including metacognitive , cognitive and affective strategies , including a variety of strategies to learn English vocabulary. Through analysis of the data , this paper draws the following English Vocabulary Teaching : Teachers should encourage students to use a variety of vocabulary learning strategies ; from teaching practice , teachers should focus on students' vocabulary learning strategies guidance and training.
