Frequency selective surface (FSS) is a two-dimensional periodic array structure , usually a large number of passive conductor patch unit (with resistance type ) or a conductor screen periodically aperture unit ( band-pass ) components. Its properties can be effective in controlling the reflection and transmission of electromagnetic waves . When the incident frequency patch or aperture in the resonant frequency when , FSS exhibit full reflection or transmission characteristics . As a direct design of FSS have great difficulty, so it is particularly important to the analysis of a specific structure , this paper analyzes the square cells , round cells , circular unit , cross section , square ring unit , Jerusalem Cross unit , in addition to research a square loop nested unit , in theory, this unit will be combined with a square ring unit , combined into a composite unit . They are calculated as the incident angle of incidence changes , changes in the electromagnetic scattering characteristics . There are many ways FSS analysis , such as finite element (FEM), finite difference time domain (FDTD), method of moments (MoM) , etc. In this paper, based on Roof-top base function Moment Method periodic frequency selective scattering structure features, first introduced Floquet theorem FSS infinite calculation unit reduced to a single cycle , and then use Green's function to establish operator equations , with the final moment method induced currents and surface reflection coefficient . Frequency selective surfaces for a theoretical analysis, it is modeled as an infinite and zero thickness perfect conductor . Incident electromagnetic wave can be assumed uniform plane wave , and the transmission direction into which the TE and TM polarization . To calculate arbitrary units FSS, using the sub- domain basis functions in the rooftop basis function expansion unknown induced surface currents. When there are many unknown factors when using fast Fourier transform conjugate gradient method for solving the unknown coefficients , in order to improve computational efficiency. By comparison , the calculated results, the related portion results in the literature is in good agreement . When the incident angle is changed, the reflection characteristics of the annular element is relatively stable and can be used as a common unit . By comparison with a single unit patch found that a composite unit studied in this paper can not only inherit their advantages , and can significantly increase the bandwidth of the resonant frequency . Has a good practical application value.
