With the development of stealth and anti- stealth technology , the calculation of the radar cross section (RCS) , the ever-increasing demands . Although electrically small objects on the aircraft rivets and screws, etc. is a micro - structure , and a single rivet or screw on the aircraft RCS contribution is small, but because of their large number , so the accurate calculation of the target population RCS , analyze their electromagnetic characteristics necessary . This paper describes the RCS estimate the basic concepts , principles and methods , focus on the moment method electromagnetic scattering analysis of arbitrarily shaped conductor theoretical discussion and analysis in conjunction with the electric field integral equation , and calculated analysis of some typical target Based on analysis of the discussion of the various types of rivets and screws RCS . The first the triangular current vector basis functions , and the combined field integral equation to get the impedance matrix equation . Secondly , the use of triangular elements corresponding Gauss integration greatly improving the speed of solving impedance matrix elements , and coordinate transform singular integral focus of treatment . At the same time , using wavelet transform method to solve the impedance matrix equation , to further improve the calculation speed . Analysis calculated on the basis of theoretical analysis of the typical shape of the tablet , the sphere and disk , and the calculation results were compared in good agreement with literature or other methods , to illustrate the accuracy and effectiveness of this approach . Finally , for the specific type of rivets and screws , using the method of images or interception of the ground finite size directly consider electromagnetic scattering analysis and calculation , and the multiple rivets RCS preliminary discussion .
