In this paper, attempting to analyze the theory of the gray space to correctly understand the concept, characteristics, carrier, carrying function, role and significance, and by using theoretical study and practical way of combining research, to present the gray principles and Design Techniques of the gray space of university buildings, and to update the optimization recommendations, and gray space by studying the specific application, it can be expressed in an appropriate manner possible, for the gray space in the university building design and practice of reference.This article is divided into five chapters: the first chapter of the research background, object, purpose and significance of research framework and methodology; the second chapter of the concepts and theories related to the definition and interpretation; Chapter on actual research and students with related theory to analyze the role of Architecture, University of gray space; fourth chapter in the former chapters based on the gray space of University building design principles and practices; the fifth chapter of Architecture gray space optimization recommendations, and updates the node proposals.
