Abstract


The manufacturing industry plays a decisive role in a country's economy , its structural changes not only reflect the changes in the economic and industrial structure , and counterproductive in the development of the national economy . Manufacturing structure by a variety of factors , the more important : the national industrial policy , foreign investment , capital-labor ratio , firm size , the proportion of exports , import ratio , the proportion of R \u0026 D expenses and the proportion of state-owned assets . This paper constructs the CH index measuring manufacturing structural changes , their movements in the analysis found : 1997 the CH index volatility , after the show rapid upward trend but the upward trend has been slowing . On this basis , the CH index as explanatory variables of each factor to the establishment of a panel data fixed effects model . Whereby analysis of the impact of various factors on the structural changes in the manufacturing industry . And contrast the various factors on the different effects of the country 's 31 regions and the western, central , and eastern regions CH Index . Found that the country in terms of the impact of policy factors CH index , In addition , the eastern part of the analysis is similar to the country's 31 regions , the western and central regions is inconsistent with the national research and development factors of the western and central regions have great impact. Analysis showed that the greatest impact on policy factors on manufacturing structure , policy factors to quantify , GDP growth instead of through the panel cointegration test and Granger causality test between the long-term analysis of GDP growth with CH index relationship results found : long-term one-way affect the country's overall GDP growth rate of the index of CH ; GDP growth rate of the 31 districts in the country have a long-term way influence CH index ; similar to the eastern and central regions and the country's 31 regions , while the western region no significant long-term relationship between GDP growth and the CH index .
