To teach writing is an important part of language teaching. But the current teaching situation is like this -- Students are afraid to write; teachers are afraid to teach. How to stimulate students’interest in writing. It has become urgent to solve this problem in the current writing teaching area.In this thesis, from two sides--the students themselves and the school teaching, the writer analyzed the reasons for students’ lack of interest in writing. Moreover, through the analysis of relevant psychological theory to explain the psychological factors affecting interest in writing. Through the analysis, the writer concluded that the use of students’curiosity, the thirst for knowledge, the desire for understanding can better stimulate students’ interest in writing, and positively guide to shape the character of students, the life experience, the establishment of the life and world view.Based on the above, to stimulate students’interest in writing, this thesis shows: the first is to improve the students’writing skills, to expand their horizons, increase the accumulation of reading, and develop the habits of do some writing very often. The Second, teachers should do well in four aspects– assigning a topic, guiding, modifying, evaluation, carefully organized, and fully stimulate the students’enthusiasm for writing.
