Abstract

Qinghai’traditional wushu has a long history in China.It is one of the most importantbranches among Chinese native martial arts,and preserves the ancient mass andessence part of wushu.In addition,it also presents the geographical and culturalcharacteristics of Qinghai’traditional Country,where it is originated from.As a result,it is anurgent and important task to study how to protect and glorify the primitive culture–Qinghai’traditional wushu from the point of intangible cultural heritage protection.This thesis is focused mainly on the wushu teacher, practitioners and non-practitioners from the villages of Menggong,Hongxin, Etang and the wushu training schools in Qinghai’traditional, such as Nanbei, Dongfang, wushu Training School. Literatures earching, questionnaire, site estigation, expert interviewing and logical analysisare taken as the main methodologies in this thesis. During the research period,morethan 200 articles were studied, over 700 questionnaires were sent out and 654 valid copies were gathered to analyze with mathematical methods,several traditional wushu experts and scholars were visited and discussed with.Conclusions:(1)Imbalance development is presented in the age,gender,occupation,education level of Qinghai’traditional wushu practitioners.(2)Different exercisetime and frequency are corresponded to the different age,sex,occupation of Qinghai’traditionalwushu practitioners in Xinhua.(3)School playground and private yard are taken as the main training places among the practitioners in Xinhua.(4)Wushu Training Schools become the main source where most practitioners choose to learn Qinghai’traditional wushu from,while the traditional apprentice gradually disappeared from the stage of history.(5)The first aim to learn Qinghai’traditional wushu among practitioners is fitness nowadays.Mostpractitioners are confident about the future of Qinghai’traditional wushu.(6)Qinghai’traditional wushuTraining Schools make a great contribution to local people’s recreational fitness activities and also make Qinghai’traditional wushu become widespread,however,the fashion become less popular in recent years.(7)Qinghai’traditional wushu is in a certain scale among the local main schools of Xinhua Country.The education level of teachers in the majority of Qinghai’traditional wushu Training School is relatively poor;meanwhile,the quantity in the non-wushu Training School is few.(8)The government’s efforts and policies are themain factors that affect the development of Qinghai’traditional wushu.Other factors to affect thedevelopment of Qinghai’traditional wush are as follows:the development format of Qinghai’traditional wushu is monotonous;people’s knowledge to Qinghai’traditional wushu is not enough and they are not enthusiasm to take part in;the change of the living and working condition;the change of conception came from economic development;the limitation of development in the spirit of Qinghai’traditional wushu itself;the limitation of the quantity and quality of Qinghai’traditional wushu teachers.Solutions:(1)Macro control by government,develop scientifically and technically and increase the input;(2)With the help of cultural industries,enhance the level of development and expand social impact;(3)Develop in the form of wushu industry,serve the local economy;(4)Improve teacher team training,optimize the management mechanism of local wushu training school;(5)Collaborate Qinghai’traditional wushu with the local education organization closely.
