Objective: To reveal the cytogenetic changes of lymphoma, investigate the implication of cytogenetics in the differentiated diagnosis of lymphoma, and approach the feasibility of the interphase FISH in the routine clinicopathological practice.Methods: 72 fresh samples suspicious of lymphoma clinically were collected. Among them, 65 cases were obtained single nucleus suspensions successfully. Three probes including IGH/BCL-2, IGH/CCND1 and API2-MALT1 to hybridize the samples, respectively. The results of FISH were analyzed and compared with the histopathological diagnosis.Results: 55 cases were diagnosed the lymphoma in 65 samples. The translocations were detected in 7 cases (7/65). IGH/BCL-2: 3 cases: One FL, one NSHL, one lymphoid hyperplasia. IGH/CCND1: 4 cases: two MCL, one FL, one SLL. All cases of DLBCL weren’t detected the IGH/BCL-2. Besides the translocations, amplification or loss of some genes can be seen.Conclusion: Interphase FISH plays an important role in the diagnosis, classification and subdivision of NHL, especially in the diagnosis of small cell lymphoma like MCL, SLL and FL, lymphoid follicular and FL are also difficult to be differentiated diagnosed. DLBCL weren’t detected the t(14;18) translocation, perhaps concerned with the difference of race and region. Others, it gives some evidences about the HL B cell in origin.
