Abstract


Paper based on field research, Author used the principles of cultural anthropology to explain the importance of use of the head dress in the Yi people’s community. End the Author also point out that the value of the Yi’s head dress. Then, paper records of the type of this attire, the origin, content, style, structure, end technology, etc. Finally, The write analyzed the question——Preservation and Development of the Cultures of the head dress of Yi with new different standpoints .The writer believes that while making great efforts to promote progress in economy, culture, education and other undertakings in the areas where ethnic minorities live in compact communities, so as to improve the material and cultural well-being of the broad masses of the ethnic minorities (including believers in various religions), the Chinese government pays special attention to their religious beliefs and the protection of their cultural heritages.
