Abstract


Because of the change of the nonsart factor including economy, politics, thought, culture and so on in the period of the late Medieval, the Christian visible art appeared to secularity character. The commodity economy which had gradually replaced the feudalism economy became the economic foundation. of the feudalism society. The alternation of the economic foundation, the power struggle in the Vatican and the influence of people’s sense-organs, the art which was not including in Christian art and the secularity awareness coming from the folkway caused the sacred art style and the subject which have the important part in the sacrament and the religion worship into the image of people that was rich in source of vitality and vigor. After the tenet of the‘incarnation”had been established and approved by some godfather,the secularity character which was Jesus Christ became people’s image, the Virgin Mary and saint’s image grew in quantity and the flourishing of the Gothic art made clear that the foundation consisting of the spreading, rising to the Christian sentiment and the aesthetic interest in the Christian sacred visible art changed a lot. It had an effect on the religion reformation in 16th.It was the premise condition that made the Modern art mount the independent path.The paper had four chapter except the introduction and the peroration. It made synthetically use of the study of religion and art and the knowledge of sociology. Setting out from the socioeconomic background, around the secularity character and the change of function to discuss the secularity of Christian visible art in west Europe have brought about the influence and use in the late Medieval.
