Abstract


This paper discusses and analyses the necessity and advantages of RTU message network transmission based on RTU and local serial port communication mode ,which are widely used in present China’s power network automation systems. The paper presents the study on the RTU and the local message network communication mode and on the related technical scheme. The technical questions in the communication mode are also discussed. The paper presents ways to specify the protocol mode between local system and communication device, and ways to overcome the problem of buffer overflow which often occurs under IEC101 conditions.Based on the above presentations and descriptions, the paper analyses how to effectively realize the "four remote" (tele-metering,remote-signalling, remote-regulating and remote-control) communication transmission of power system comprehensive automation systems under the network communication transmission system. The paper also discusses the causes from which errors occur to the alarm messages and solutions are also given to the problem. Against the newest software environment, the paper points out the short-comings of traditional database structure and gives the improvement method to the traditional database structure. At last, combined with the actual product designing and actual applications, the paper presents application of the general protocol IEC101 in the local power system.
