Recent years, with the rapid development of space science and technology to accelerate the pace of space exploration . Remote sensing image data for the human exploration of space , remote sensing images and compared with the general image texture more , higher resolution, the worse its information entropy smaller redundancy . Therefore, in the case of the transmission bandwidth is limited , it is necessary to use the data compression method to reduce the amount of data transmitted . In 2005 , the International Advisory Committee of Space Data Systems (CCSDS) released its recommended standard compression algorithm are a great improvement in compression efficiency and complexity of the algorithm . CCSDS image compression algorithm using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) to de-correlation processing on the image data , and to combine the bit plane coding techniques , and entropy coding techniques compression encoding of wavelet transform coefficients . Support lossy and lossless compression , adjustable bit rate and image quality controlled , the algorithm can achieve both compression efficiency and complexity of the algorithm , and support for high-speed low -power hardware implementation . On the other hand , Blackfin561 as a new generation of embedded 32-bit processor with a high degree of parallel processing and powerful DMA capability , the advantages of simple RISC-like microprocessor instruction set , as well as single instruction multiple data (SIMD) image processing capabilities to provide the efficient program efficiency . The purpose of this work is on Blackfin CCSDS compression algorithm . The CCSDS algorithm first depth understanding of the algorithm necessary to cut the PC to the DSP platform porting ; Second, a series of optimization measures on Blackfin processors : assembler optimization improvements including wavelet transform , data storage structure adjustment , calculation tables and so on , and gives the final optimization results . Finally, a summary and review of the work done , and to make some suggestions for future work .
