Abstract


Modern electronic computers has been unable to fully meet the growing massive computing needs , optical computing , with its high processing speed , huge bandwidth , highly parallel processing capabilities and has good prospects . Extensive and in-depth research of the latest progress of optical logic systems in the field of optical computing at home and abroad on the basis of the basic structure of the optical shadow forming the theoretical basis and the 4-f optical correlator using two-track space coding techniques and spatial filtering technique to design discrete the associated parallel optical processor can achieve a variety of basic optical logic operation . Moreover, the use of He-Ne laser , beam expander , and the reflection-type electrically addressable spatial light modulator - a digital micromirror device (DMD), a thin lens optical elements such structures discrete correlation of fast and flexible parallel optical processor experimental system , and the completed optical experiments . The theoretical analysis and numerical simulation and optical experiment results show that the discrete design related parallel optical processor can achieve the basic optical logic operations , and can be used as a parallel digital optical computing , optical logic operations nuclear . Also, in the experimental system using DMD digital micromirror device as a spatial light modulator , some characteristics of the system and solution meaningful exploration , the result of positive significance . Very important parallel optical computing optical logic operation of nuclear theoretical and experimental studies of positive significance for the breakdown of parallel optical computing research ideas , promote the development of parallel optical computing technology .
