Target and decoy recognition is a key issue in the ballistic missile defense system , but also a challenging research topic . Lack of structural characteristics such as geometry and texture target , bait and other small targets in infrared imaging when long-distance , little information is available for the detection and recognition system using , there are still many questions unanswered . The paper target and bait to identify , for example , the process of identifying some of the key technology research and findings . The article first introduces the importance and necessity of image pre-processing techniques in the identification process of target and decoy target missile re-entry segment complex cloud background target processing , for example , infrared imaging characteristics of small targets in a complex background using a new composite structure element morphological filtering background suppression algorithm to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of a single image : according to the sequence of infrared small target motion characteristics , analysis of a small moving target detection technology based on the judgment of the neighborhood , and effectively improve target detection efficiency and probability of detection , the position and its gray distribution of potential targets in infrared image sequences . Followed by a detailed analysis of the target ( in this article , the warheads for example ) with four main distinguishing feature of bait in different stages of imaging infrared imaging characteristics , summed up the goals and bait : grayscale characteristics , temperature characteristics , movement characteristics and shape characteristics analysis different imaging stage suitable for the characteristics used to distinguish between targets and decoys ; various feature extraction algorithm , has been the identification of target and decoy early judgment .
