Abstract


Nowadays, there are various factors contributing to the failures in many projects, such as changing requirements, ability to conduct good communication, and management methodology. Ineffective control of changing requirements is one of the major factors. Therefore, to have a successful project, we need to have an efficient system with processes and methodologies to achieve good control of requirements changes.There has been some researches on the changing management of software requirement in China and abroad but there are some differences in the office automation comparing with abroad office automation system. The management methods can’t be used in our country’s office automatically. In China, the research about requirement management theory is superficial and the practice about developing requirement management tool is more lacked. As far as international solutions and changing management tools are concerned, we can research and use for reference.This thesis analyses the recent situation of office automation system. It is based on surveying a lot of systems, extract the past cases and analyses data. It is to put the Rational company’s UCM and light method into the project reasonably. Beginning with the structure of requirement engineering, requirement engineering is divided into two parts which are requirement development and requirement management. Thesis offers a relatively perfect resolutions which based on characters of each stage and combine project requirements of Maritime University. Depending on the principle of advanced, efficiency, safety, convenient and expandable, we investigate the problems of requirement change. It applies and concludes a lot of applied and reasonable methods. It not only puts change method which stays in requirement management, but also prevents changes and implements previously work in advance. To some extent, it reduces passiveness of processing change and avoids to disturb development. Consequently, it avoids or reduces the influence in the cost and the workload in the requirement change in the evaluation model.The thesis is based on a project. It demonstrates that UCM and Agile Development method are applicable to process the changes. At the same time, it presents that a lot of methods which I sum up in the project are useful. By integrating these methods, it can decrease the cost of the software maintenance availably and raise the efficiency and the quality of the software maintenance.
