Abstract


Objective: To investigate the potential cause of hand eczema and such patients on a day-to-day contact with the allergen sensitivity , and analysis of their gender , age and occupational characteristics . Methods: The study from July 2008 to April 2009 , a total of 110 cases of patients with chronic eczema of the hands in the dermatology clinic , the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College , all enrolled patients within 15 days of unused glucocorticoid 7 days immunomodulatory agents unused , within 3 days of not taking antihistamines, and the exclusion of eczema in the acute phase of the patients as well as pregnant women . \Were grouped by gender , age, occupation , and analysis of the the various allergens overall positive rate and positive rate in the different groups . SPSS 13.0 statistical software for the analysis of the difference of the positive rate was significantly χ2 test , P lt; 0.05 for the difference was statistically significant . Results: 110 patients subjects patch test appears positive in 94 cases (85.5 %) , the top 5 most common allergens were potassium dichromate , nickel sulfate , cobalt chloride , aromatic mixture and formaldehyde mixture of phenylenediamine substrates thiuram mixture and the black rubber male patients positive rate was significantly higher than that of women. Different ages a variety of allergens positive rate difference was not significant . Engaged in certain occupations ( workers , housewives , cloth salesman , etc. ) in patients with positive rate is significantly higher . Conclusion: The patch test to help the clear hand eczema patients contact allergens , the purpose to improve the relevance of their treatment , and cut off allergic reactions by avoiding or removing allergens , to cure and prevent relapse even radical extremely important clinical significance .
