Abstract


The cultural construction of modern and cosmopolitan city is a huge social systems engineering . The early 1990s , some cities have put forward the goal of building a modern and cosmopolitan city , and has achieved initial results . However, in practice it was found , as a modern international metropolis in the overall construction is an important part of cultural construction , but generally do not get the attention they deserve . This result has been and is affecting the development of long-term health of these cities . Economic , political , cultural city of the three genes , which interact with and promote each other , and jointly promote the development of society . Cultural development is a means of social development , social development purposes . A qualified sound modern international city , should not only have a prosperous economy , political democracy conditions , it should also reach the standard of cultural prosperity .
