Abstract


The emergence of popular culture has been an attracting phenomenon since China adopted the policy of reforming and opening to the world and established the socialistic market economic system. Popular culture to some extent has become the main content of the cultural life of the people with its development in the past two decades. As a consequence of modern industrial society, it generated and developed with intrinsic inevitability, as well as obvious deficiency. So the construction of popular culture is inevitably a main part of the construction of socialistic culture. To guide the popular culture is to ensure its sustainable development to make it apt to the requirement of the construction of socialistic culture and become an important cultural strength on the way to modernization.
