Four novel the tripod compounds (L1, L2, L3, L4) as the carrier , o-nitrophenyl octyl ether (NPOE) as plasticizer prepared four types of PVC membrane cation selective electrode system study on alkali choice properties of the metal and alkaline earth metal ions , the main factors affecting the electrode performance , such as : pH influence reproducibility , stability and response time testing and discussion , and to obtain meaningful results . The results show that : L1, L2 as the carrier , good electrode performance , wherein L1 is the best, the response performance of the carrier of the electrode to a monovalent alkali metals and divalent alkaline earth metal ions in response superior L2 . When L1 is the carrier , NPOE as plasticizer , KTpClPB fixed gamut body , the film electrode for a monovalent alkali metal ion is Li < / SUP > and Na and a divalent alkaline earth metal the ion the of Ca 2 < / sup> Sr 2 the the Ba 2 < / sup> response performance of its linear range were 10 -3 - 10 -1 , 10 -3 -10 -1 , 10 -4 -10 -1 , 10 -4 -10 -1 , 10 -3 -10 -1 mol. l -1 ; corresponding detection limits were 5.8 × 10 -4 1.3 × 10 -4 with 2.6 × - 5 , 7.5 × 10 -5 , 2.4 × 10 -4 ; corresponding linear correlation coefficient were 0.9939,0.9856,0.9999,0.9999,0.9999 ; corresponding the slope were 52.5,47.3,28.9,28.0,28.6 mv / pC x . The electrode can be used as Ca 2 ion -specific electrode , the DBP plasticizer electrode the the of Li < / sup> the Na < / sup> cations linear range 10 < sup > -3 -10 -1 , 10 -3 -10 -1 ; corresponding detection limits were 1.6 × 10 -4 2.1 × 10 -4 ; corresponding linear correlation coefficients were 0.9994,0.9987 ; the the corresponding slope were to 55.0,53.2 mv / pC x . It can be seen, the electrodes may be used as the ion specific electrode Li . The study also shows that the membrane phase of the carrier is a neutral carrier mechanism .
