Abstract


Currently, urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin adhesive is the largest amount of an adhesive used in the timber industry . Recent years, with the increasing awareness of environmental protection , the UF resin adhesive and its products in the production and use of the process of the release of free formaldehyde has drawn increasing attaches great importance to consumers and environmentalists . Therefore , the production and use of low toxicity UF glue is imperative . The papers from the production reality of modified UF glue , mainly to explore different modifiers add a stage and add the amount of the resin synthesis process and performance . By experiment , developed a low-cost , low toxicity , the use of performance UF glue . By the modified test , optimize the synthesis process and formulation of modified UF resin adhesive . The experimental results show that , in a resin synthesis process interim adding modifiers , modifiers was 3% , can be synthesized with good performance and low toxicity modified UF adhesive . Added to the resin during the synthesis of the modifier resin has good storage stability during storage of the small magnitude of the changes in viscosity and pH value . Under laboratory conditions , with low toxicity modified UF glue suppression of medium density fiberboard , board perforation iodometric method measured formaldehyde emission 4.19mg/100g reach the the German E 1 < / sub > level.
