Abstract

In the tanning process , due to the needs of the process , will inevitably produce a lot of waste shavings , leather waste , the main component of collagen , is a valuable natural resource , but is not fully utilized , has to cause serious environmental pollution . This article for resource use and the elimination of the dual considerations of pollution , to explore the feasibility of chrome-tanned leather waste hydrolyzed protein synthesis proteins filler . First, using the two-step method of magnesia and protease treatment of chrome-tanned leather waste , hydrolyzed protein . Then modified it with formaldehyde , chromium salts and phenols , respectively . Studied the various factors, it is preferable , and to determine a variety of modification conditions . If the amount of formaldehyde , the reaction solution pH, concentration , temperature , reaction time , etc. , by measuring the viscosity of the modified proteins , the absorption rate of the leather powder and resistance to chromium stability, to determine a modified hydrolyzed protein with formaldehyde conditions; there by measuring the stability of the modified proteins alkali , the absorption rate of the leather powder and a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), the leather powder after the experiment to study , and preferably to determine the amount of the chromium salt of the reaction solution to hydrolysis of protein modification of the chromium salt and the conditions of pH, temperature , reaction time, etc. ; determine phenols through the determination of the turbidity value of the reaction liquid , the amount of hydrolyzed protein modification , reaction pH , temperature , reaction time and other various conditions . The basic properties of the resulting modified protein , for retanning filling application experiments . Application experiments show that these modified protein product has good filling effect .
