Abstract

Objective using central venous catheter to closed chest drainage treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax patients, and compared with the traditional closed chest drainage efficacy and safety comparison, for basic-level hospital using central venous catheter to closed chest drainage treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax. Method will be one in March 2006, in March 2010, Aaron teaching hospital of 83 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax were randomly divided into two groups, treatment group 42 cases, using the single cavity central venous catheter pleural closed drainage; Control group using conventional large 41 cases were closed chest drainage catheter. Compare two groups after a time, exhaust way and curative effect of differences between indexes, length of hospital stay and complications. Results in the two groups in the lungs after a time, the cure rate, length of hospital stay was no significant statistical difference (P gt; 0.05). But in subcutaneous emphysema, secondary infection, pleural effusion, pain, complications, expenses, the treatment group than the control group significantly reduced, with significant difference statistically (P lt; 0.05). Conclusion use of central venous catheter for the chest closed drainage the curative effect of treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax is equivalent to conventional closed chest drainage, and operation method is simple, practical, fewer complications, etc.
