Abstract


With the data of the spectral characteristics of a typical feature of database technology management is the goal of the work we have to do . But because there is an obvious feature feature resource data - it has the nature of the spatial distribution , and therefore proposed the use of today 's popular component GIS technology to develop a the typical object spectrum characteristics database system to meet the needs of practical application . This paper describes the basis of the component technology of component object model ( COM ) and Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM), Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) and ActiveX technology and the application of these technologies in GIS . The introduced component GIS program development approach , as well as the component of MapInfo Corporation GIS product -MapX technology. The discussion and analysis of the the typical object spectrum characteristics database system of using systems thinking on ComGIS technical and visual development language integrated secondary development to achieve program . Based on research component GIS , the author developed a typical the object spectrum characteristic database system based on component GIS technology . Database system overall structure design, system function design , user interface design , and system design . Use of visual development language Visual Basic 6.0 component GIS software tools Mapinfo MapX 5.0 combined with database management systems , MS Sql Server 2000 , and Windows 2000 server operating system to build an integrated development environment , prepared on the basis of a detailed code to achieve Map control , view, control, the primitive editing, graphic mutual inspection and attribute data processing function module , with operation Atlas, layer control, display control , primitive editing , property management, electronic map to enlarge , shrink , roaming , full figure shows the dynamic display of geographic coordinates , information etc .
