Abstract


Pain is one of the main reasons people seek medical treatment. Nursing students must have effective pain management knowledge and skills in order to work in the future to better serve the patient. Nursing students to improve knowledge of pain and pain in basic nursing education curriculum core body of knowledge are closely related. Europe and the United States relatively rapid development of nursing education in pain. University of Toronto Centre in accordance with International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) pain curriculum, development, implementation and evaluation of a complete set of faculties between pain courses. However, China has not yet have a comprehensive pain programs for nursing students, therefore, the purpose of this research project is to build a suitable course of pain in nursing students core knowledge system to improve the future of nursing students in pain management. Objective To construct a suitable course of pain in nursing students core knowledge system, and nursing students and college students to explore curriculum content to pain common needs and different needs. Methods This topic center under the University of Toronto, Canada, pain programs, combined with China's national conditions, in the expert advice and a wide range of literature developed based on questionnaire survey of 410 nursing students knowledge of the course of pain demand, tentatively suitable The pain of nursing students in the core curriculum of knowledge. In the initial construction of the core body of knowledge based on the framework of knowledge, basic nursing education program in accordance with the requirements established modules and steps will be pain modular curriculum core body of knowledge, like knowledge points down to the same modules, each module contains a learning content all the knowledge, the formation of multiple modules, each module interconnected together to form all the pain curriculum content. Using the Delphi expert consultation on the proposed modular system for two expert advisory knowledge, finally established for the pain of our nursing students core knowledge curriculum. To enhance the knowledge system constructed in this study operability, nursing students and college students to explore curriculum content to pain common needs and the different needs in order to set up a targeted course content, improve learning efficiency, the use of two-sample level data comparable rank sum test to analyze the knowledge system. The results for the final establishment of the core curriculum of nursing students knowledge of pain, including pain Introduction to nursing education, assessment and treatment of pain, acute pain problems, chronic pain, child / adolescent pain, case study six modules, 66 knowledge point. Nursing students were considered to be very necessary course content from 32. Schools can set accordingly targeted course content and more favorable promote nursing student learning. Conclusion This study constructed nursing profession's core knowledge curriculum pain, a clear knowledge of nursing students and college students need to set the pain course provides a theoretical basis and practical guidance.
