Abstract


In order to research the characteristics of ethnic identity of the Philippine Chinese middle school students and the characteristics of subjects, Chinese learning attitude to the influence of ethnic identity, this study compiled the questionnaire of the Philippine Chinese adolescent ethnic identity and the Philippine Chinese youth Chinese language learning attitudes questionnaire to the Philippine Chinese middle school students were investigated. Research shows that: (1) the Philippine Chinese middle school students' overall level of ethnic identity and Chinese learning attitude is in average level; (2) there is significant gender difference Philippine Chinese middle school students of ethnic identity, girl's overall level of ethnic identity, emotion dimension and cognitive evaluation dimension score is significantly higher than boys, but there is no difference in behavior dimension; (3) no grade differences of ethnic identity of Philippine Chinese high school students; Scores of ethnic identity, (4) of the Philippine Chinese high school students exist significant difference on his father's profession, does not exist differences in mother's career, father's occupation for businessmen and father Philippine Chinese middle school students' ethnic identity of death overall scores were significantly higher than employees; (5) Philippine Chinese middle school students' English learning attitude and ethnic identity is extremely significant positive correlation; (6) father's career, grades, and cognitive factors of Chinese learning attitude and behavior factor is an effective forecast of Philippine Chinese middle school students' overall level of ethnic identity.
