Abstract


Love is an important content of literature and art, the love in the movie show more its image and vivid. As China's fifth generation director of one of the leading figures, zhang yimou's movies are also constructed a unique world of love. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the love theme of zhang yimou film, in carries on the combing and witness its artistic features, on the basis of the theme is done in the study expatiates on and film discourse. This article also tries to from the perspective of cross-cultural analysis why zhang love performance in the film is popular among Chinese audience and can get the favour of western critics. The author thinks that the love performance of zhang yimou film placed in a typical Chinese folk culture in the background, show the Chinese love style, is Chinese ethics. In addition, the film implies the idea of humanity liberation, with love desires to show, show neuter pent-up criticism about Chinese culture, so as to love with western culture reached a "agree", and its unique artistic expression of affection also constitute an important part of zhang yimou film achievement
