Abstract

Purpose:To study the significance of pulmonary surfactant protein A(SP-A) and pulmonary surfactant protein D(SP-D) in the diagnosis of Severe Acute Pancreatitis(SAP)-induced Acute Lung Injury (ALI).Method:The SP-A and SP-D serum level of 48 cases of SAP without ALI and 36 cases of SAP-induced ALI were detected by the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The data of SP-A and SP-D were analysed and summarized. Results:The best cut-off value of the SP-A and SP-D were determined by the ROC curve, which was 135ng/L and 15ng/L respectively. Under this cut-off value, the sensitivity, specificity and availability of SP-A were 63.9%, 79.2% and 72.6% respectively in SAP-induced ALI diagnosed group. The sensitivity, specificity and availability of SP-D were 66.7%, 83.3% and 76.2% respectively in SAP-induced ALI diagnosed group. Conclusion:There was also of great significance of the SP-A and SP-D to early diagnosis of SAP-induced ALI.
