Abstract


The rapid development in science technology characterizing with multimedia technology and network technology greatly influences modern society and then results in the fundamental changes in terms of ways of living and production mode,enabling the economy undergo the fundamental transition. People can only adapt themselves to the changes through life-long learning. With the continuous expansion of the scope of foreign exchange, people will have more opportunities to use English as a language tool for foreign liaison and communication. Opportunities for practical use of English will be gradually increased. So that people’s enthusiasm for learning English will be growing. Socialization of college students and the English learning are subject to the impact of social environment. Their motivations for learning English will thus gradually change, and then correct their attitude. As the mastery of English can accelerate the process of their socialization and preferably meet the development of the times.Social development and the continuous improvement of scientific and technological level demand for talent increasingly. More people want to carry out independent study more easily. With the rapid development of modern information technology, online teaching has become an important means of teaching. The aim of this paper is to use computer network multimedia technology to carry out the teaching of English, human-machine interaction between the students and computers can be achieved. At the same time interactive teaching can be better carried out. Students not only can attend classes, complete the assignments and exercises in the online“virtual classroom”, but also can discuss, ask and answer with teachers and other students. Full communication can be achieved. The main problem to be solved by developing College English Courses Interactive Studying Platform is how to make effective use of web resources under the background of web educational technology, to develop College English WebCT interactive learning platform and to cultivate students’ability of English speaking, listening, reading and writing.The primary technique measures used in this paper are web database, ASP.NET, and using ADO to access database. To build a Topics Discussion Teaching Platform based on the WebCT interactive learning platform. Under the original English teaching concepts and modes, to advocate student-centered personalized learning, to make full use of network teaching resources and to set up multi-dimensional platform of English language teaching.
