Abstract


Over the years people to \Many linguists and foreign language education experts agree that foreign language learning must proceed from the \Visible , have a good hearing closed on the importance of language learning . About English Listening Teaching and research, domestic and foreign experts and scholars have made the system work and a lot of achievements . Chunk France over the past decade by many domestic experts and scholars concerned about the new teaching methods. On hearing the word block method to improve the effectiveness of capacity in the country has a number of colleges and universities , secondary schools to obtain evidence, and got many experts and scholars fully affirmed. But it is feasible in the secondary stage ( secondary school students' English level is generally too low ) ? Present very few people use empirical methods to be studied . The purpose of this paper is to think through empirical methods to explore chunks for college English teaching method is feasible and effective . In order to verify the word block method is feasible and effective , this article uses both qualitative and quantitative research methods . Firstly, analysis of the current college English listening and causes of the problems , and through comments \first grade secondary school of agriculture NC 24 classes conducted a 10-week English listening \Before and after the experimental class average of the two tests showed a significant difference : the word block method to improve college students' listening ability in English have a demonstrable effect . Chunk method has promotional value. Meanwhile, the paper also points out the limitations of this study , propose recommendations for further study of this subject .
