Abstract


The novel"To Live"is a landmark work of the pioneer writer Yu Hua from the transition to realism.This thesis attempts to make a study and analysis of the death perspective of "To Live", based on the former study from the linguistics and rhetoric point of view,as a narrative analysis of the keywords, select the four rhetorical elements-Theme of Death,death narrative way, tocompare to the film "To Live" with the death narrative techniques and death symbols as research object,in order to explore the concerns of Yu Hua’s individual lives and the lives of philosophical thinking.
