Abstract


It has been more than 20 years since life insurance renewed its domestic business, and life insurance has acquired great success. China Life Insurance Company and Pingan Insurance Company have listed in international stock market. But now, China has joined WTO, Chinese insurance market has opened to international insurance companies, and oversea life insurance companies have practiced gradually in China, so the competition between Chinese insurance companies and their foreign counterparts will become more and more drastic. It is early to forecast who will win the competition now, but it is very clear that Chinese life insurance companies are less competitive than their counterparts.The first part of this dissertation starts with the peculiarity and appraise methods of the core competitiveness, and deem that the dominating factors which effect the core competitiveness of life insurance companies include 10 aspects, namely property right system, organization structure, management, capital, technology innovation, production, distribution channel.The second part of this dissertation analyse thoroughly the problem that Chinese life insurance companies are facing with today. The most important problem are the lack of insurance variety, the shortage of invest channel, management become shorten, the scarcity of person with ability and the absence of business culture. I think that these problems impact the core competitiveness of Chinese life insurance companies profoundly.The third part and the fourth part focus on appraise index system of core competitiveness. Thereinto, the third part analyse the significance and the principles of the appraise index system . I think that the appraise index system will contain competitive strength, competitive potential, competitive environment and competitive situation, and that can be summarize into four genus, three level. The fourth part focus on a exemplification of the appraise index system.Firstly, the fifth part the marginal search and the route dependency of the formative process of the core competitiveness; secondly, give Theadvice to strengthen the core competitiveness from operation aspect and management aspect; finally, analyse the methods of cultivating core competition, and consider that cultivate from interior is the best way for Chinese life insurance companies.
