Abstract


Learning Adaptability Scale (Revised) is a convenient tool to examine students’ learning adaptability. It serves students from primary grade 4 to secondary grade 3. It will survey students’ method of study, habit of study, attitude of study, environment of study, adaptation of body and mind. The dissertation takes the revision and application of Learning Adaptability Scale (Revised) as the theme, attempting to revise the scale, make it an excellent psychometric property, and do some application researches.In the first section of the dissertation, the writer expatiates upon the significance and foundations of making the research. And then the writer introduces the goals and meaning of the whole research. In the second section, the writer reports the works of revising Learning Adaptability Scale (Revised), and these include why and how to revise Learning Adaptability Scale, the result of the first and second trial-test, and the statistical index of Learning Adaptability Scale (Shanghai). We didn’t change the framework of Learning Adaptability Scale (Revised), but amended part of the items and some other aspects. We constituted the norm of Learning Adaptability Scale (Shanghai). In the third section, the writer reports the researches on Learning Adaptability Scale (Shanghai)’s application, including the influence of gender, grade, parents’ educational level, etc on learning adaptability and a case study. In the fourth section, the writer introduced the features and innovations for researching deeply. The scientific researches indicate the Learning Adaptability Scale (Shanghai) is a test with well reliability and validity and it can serve educational practice. The results of this research can provide a set of valid and convenient test instrument for assessing students’ learning adaptability, and make up the lacks of congener instruments. At the same time, it is also a crucial step which brings Learning Adaptability Scale (Revised) from Taiwan to main land of China.
