Abstract

This thesis’s subject is the history of research activity to general education in shanghai city from 1978 to 2002. The tradition of science sociology is the theoretical context of my research. The history landscape of research activity to general education in shanghai is constructed in three parts, which include culture, community and encouragement system. Based on the pectination of historical fact, the thought of theoretical issues and the construction of history landscape, it is gained that some characters, or experiences of the development and change of research activity to general education in shanghai. At the same time, I will put forward some advices on the continuing development of the research activity to general education in shanghai.Science sociology is the main theoretical context. From the research of Robert King.Merton, Thomas.Kuhn, Celan, and some Chinese scholars about the culture, community and encouragement system, some thoughtfulness, method, theory and point are exploited to make clear what the valuable historical issues this research should care for. In my thesis, the issues of science culture are made up with two parts. The first one is the external culture and value system, which include political culture and educational culture. The second is the internal culture and value system, which include constructed value and the science paradigm in changing. When I card the history of the community of researcher to general education in shanghai, It is focused that the creation, reciprocating, changing of the core organization which include the Shanghai educational science research institution and the organizations of educational science research in Shanghai’s administrative divisions and counties. In the research to the encouragement system, both the character and the process of change of the encouragement system in different period and the interaction between the system and the community are my issues.After the application of theories and the pectination of the historicalfact, I draw some characters of the history of the research activity to general education in shanghai city from 1978 to 2002. At first, the development of community of researcher is the axes of the development of research enterprise to general education in Shanghai. Secondly, the core engine of the system innovation lies in the interaction of the elitist researchers. Thirdly, empiristic reason and cooperate reflection are the core character of the construction of science culture. At last, the system of science encouragement is being changed from hiberarchy ascending type to function subdivison, mixed type.At the last part of my thesis, I give some advices for the continuing development of science research enterprise to general education in Shanghai. Firstly, it is necessary for culture construction to expand the space of institutions and exploit cultural resource. Secondly, big research to general education of researcher should be made, which includes the elites of old community and the researchers who are interested in this field from normal universities. Thirdly, it is necessary for innovations of system to improve the development of fOunction subdivison, mixed type encouragement system.
