Abstract


Objective: Osteoporosis includes primary osteoporosis and secondary osteoporosis in the elderly population the incidence is high. Osteoporosis -related fractures due to its complications in the elderly 's health and life poses a serious threat . As society increasingly higher proportion of the population aging , focusing on the elderly osteoporosis and fracture prevention is that we are facing a daunting task . TCM theory holds that osteoporosis are \On this basis, the majority of physicians used as a treatment for osteoporosis, kidney method commonly used rule. Department in my previous studies , both for patients with osteoporosis or in animal models , are observed of herbs - anti cancellous bone granules have good anti-osteoporotic effects, its mechanism of action include the promotion of estradiol and a , 25 - (OH) 2 -D 3 formation, inhibition of prostaglandin E 2 generation, improve bone matrix metabolism . Osteoblasts are the main functional cells of bone formation , bone matrix is responsible for synthesis, secretion and mineralization , to express a variety of bone-related genes, secretion of a variety of proteins and peptides. Recent studies synthesized by osteoblasts secrete osteoprotegerin (OPG) and receptor activator NF-κB ligand (RANKL) is a bone osteoclasts even even a newly discovered molecular mechanisms , but also the bone cell and molecular biological research in a big progress . RANKL secreted by osteoblasts and osteoclasts and their precursors RANK receptor on the combination of many factors regulating osteoclast activating the role of the final part , made ??another factor secreted by bone cells may antagonize the effect of OPG , a variety of physiological and pathological factors can affect broken through the system
