ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of silver antimicrobial dressing (SilvaSorb) on patients with diabetic foot.Methods32 patients with diabeteic foot were divided into 3 groups according Wagner Diabetic Foot Ulcer Classification System. All the patients were treated by regular therapy ,which include diet control ,blood glucose lowing,and treatment of systemic atherosclerosis. Before and after the treatment, wound culture, healing time and healing rate were estimated.ResultsAfter treatment, the wound infection rate decreased significantly ( from 75% to 6% ). The wound healing rate were 100% , 86% and 64% , respectively. No complications were found in all of the patients.ConclusionsSilver antimicrobial dressing(SilvaSorb)could be a simple,safe,and ettec-tive clinical management in diabetic foot by way of antimicrobal, facilitating wound healing.
