Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a variety of causes within the carpal tunnel pressure increased , the median nerve oppression nerve damage symptoms appear , it is a common disease of Hand Surgery . This article through literature retrospective analysis of anatomical and physiological factors induced carpal tunnel syndrome , pathophysiological changes of carpal tunnel syndrome , clinical manifestations , electromyography changes , clinical diagnosis, differential diagnosis and surgical methods . And focus on endoscopic carpal tunnel lysis (ECTR) , a newly developed surgical techniques , indications , advantages and potential complications . Our hospital in April 2003 to November 2004 , 11 patients ( 13 sides ) aged 43 to 68 -year-old female with idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome were treated with endoscopic two o'clock unilateral the hook cut method carpal tunnel loose solutions for surgery . Were followed up for 4-20 months , good functional recovery with no complications. In accordance with the the Kelly standard assessment results : excellent in 9 cases , good in 4 cases . We think ECTR simple operation , short time in surgery and trauma response to light , short course , do not leave large scar , beautiful appearance, safe and effective . In the the conditions under familiar with the operation of the local anatomy and endoscopic techniques , select appropriate surgical indications , ECTR effective a treatment for CTS .
