Abstract

Objective: To detect the protein encoded WWOXmRNA and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma in the expression and to analyze its clinical pathological significance. Methods: RealTime RT-PCR was used to detect 21 cases of cholangiocarcinoma tissues and 5 normal bile duct tissues WWOXmRNA expression , detected by immunohistochemistry protein expression of corresponding organizations . Results : WWOX mRNA in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma was significantly lower than normal bile duct tissue (t = 10.145, P lt; 0.001), loss of expression of 47.16% ; immunohistochemical staining for the nine cases , negative in 12 cases , protein deletion rate 57.14% . Its mRNA and protein expression with age , gender, preoperative liver function and clinical staging was not statistically significant , while the correlation with histological grade was statistically significant (r = -0.583 and -0.840, p values ??were 0.007 and lt; 0.001). WWOXmRNA and protein in poorly differentiated cholangiocarcinoma tissues was significantly lower than the well differentiated tumor tissue. Conclusion : WWOX altered expression in the incidence of cholangiocarcinoma , decreased expression and histological grading correlation can be used as bio- invasive prediction extrahepatic valid indicators of the future can be developed into a diagnostic and therapeutic target .
