Abstract


Idioms are an essential part of any language , so there has always been a large number of linguists idioms carried out research . Their point of view can be divided into \In this paper, in the framework of relevance theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson , from a new perspective to understand the idiom and its variants mental representation of online were explained in order to solve some of the problems in the study of idioms . First of all, in terms of mental representation , \dispersed form of the word characterization . Their drawback : the former can not explain idioms large number of variants of the fact that idiom has a certain flexibility exists ; latter idiom as a complete conceptual representation . Therefore , both these views can not take into account the flexible idioms variability and its conceptual representation of the integrity of these two aspects , and thus are not sufficient . In this paper , the relevance theory idiom and its variants concept idiom based on the concept of structural formula unit in the form of characterization and stored . On the one hand , the idiom is seen as a complete concept unit ; other hand, since idioms internal structure , to some extent they can be changed . The proposed analytical method enables these two aspects of the idiom get a better explanation . Secondly, in the online understanding , held \decomposable concept of \The lack of the former is that it denies the the single integral idioms meaning of the word in the understanding of the role of the whole idiom , and thus , can not explain the lack of of idiom variants understanding ; latter sometimes obedient direct extraction of idioms meaning, so , idioms
