Abstract


Encountered in the real world, most of the categories are blurred - some just a little fuzzy , while others are significantly blurred . The minds of fuzzy diffuse explain the logic of human reasoning is based on the most instead of the traditional two-valued logic , or even multi-valued logic , but with fuzzy authenticity, fuzzy joins, and fuzzy inference rules of logic . Fuzzy Linguistic Inquiry blurring of the language in the various fields , and Hedges is interesting and meaningful aspects of such studies . News English is a special form of language , at all levels of the language has its unique characteristics . News English Hedges precisely reflect the accuracy of the news reports , pragmatic theory of explanation , the use of such Hedges has its special discourse function . This paper consists of six parts . The first part of the Introduction Hedges language study the meaning and the status quo . The second part of the review of Fuzzy Linguistics and Hedges history, several concepts related to this article . The third part describes the characteristics of the news in English from two angles : lexical features and syntactic features , along with a brief news reports Hedges . The fourth part is the design and method of this study , including the the source micro corpus study . The fifth part is the empirical research . Hedges can be divided into the news in English vocabulary Hedges Hedges and vocabulary from these two perspectives , this article analyzes the distribution of selected news reports Hedges and frequency . Finally explained by the theory of conversational implicature the News Writing Hedges exist , and discuss its special discourse function . The article concludes with a summary of this study and the corresponding recommendations for further such studies .
