Abstract


The paper, beginning with the definitions of Northeastern Asia and regional economiccooperation, gives a brief description on the present situation of regional economiccooperation in Northeastern Asia and makes an analysis on some of its basic features.Reviewing the participation course, it analyses some main factor by which Japan islimited. In the regional economic cooperation of Northeastern Asia, the internal factorsare economic, political and military safety factors, while the external factors are historyproblems, territorial dispute, UA-Japan alliance, Sino-Japan relationship. Based on theabove analysis, some reasons are found why Japan accomplish nothing in the regionaleconomic cooperation in Northeastern Asia and why the regional economic cooperation inNortheastern Asia proceeds much slower than other areas in the world. Finally, the papermakers a discussion about the future pattern in which Japan participates in the regionaleconomic cooperation in Northeastern Asia , to understand the trend for Japanparticipating in the regional economic cooperation of Northeastern Asia.
