Abstract


As an increasingly important method, performance management has been applied togovernment and public sector administration. Western countries have some success in publicperformance management. As for our country, although some of China’s governmentdepartments have begun to attempt performance management in their management, it still inthe initial stage. The theory is far from being mature. And the study on the performancemanagement of public security departments is rare. Therefore, exploration of performancemanagement of public security departments which suits China’s conditions is very meaningful.This paper firstly analyzes the present situation of performance management of PublicSecurity Bureau of Dongying Dongying Branch, combined with the actual situation. Then, thepaper uses the performance management theory and scientific means and tools for assessingthe performance of public security. It tries to establish a set of an actual performancemanagement system of security department which can be applied to Dongying Branch、themotivation measures and the corresponding safeguards .Hope that it will be beneficial forguiding the public sector performance management
