Abstract


With the incessant strengthening of people’s consciousness on environmental protection and resource economization, and as well the increasing growth of the laws and policies on environmental protection, enterprises have to survey the problems how to reuse the resources and deal with the scrap products again. Under the government’s policy guidance of greatly developing the cycle economy, more and more enterprises are now turning their attention to a rather new area — —reverse logistics.In order to focus on their core business, lots of enterprises arrange for their reverse logistics business to be done by other professional reverse logistics providers. After the enterprises decide to arrange for all or parts of them in this way, the chief problem for them to face is how to choose the proper third-party reverse logistics provider.Under the analysis and research on the characteristics of reverse logistic itself and its actuality in our country from the point of view of a manufacturer, combining the evaluation indices that the scholars at home and abroad are taking to select cooperators, this paper presents a set of integrated and effective evaluation index system and evaluation methods for choosing the third-party reverse logistics providers.The evaluation index system comprises integrative character index (soft character index and hard character index) and compatibility index. It involves all aspects of the professional reverse enterprise as much of as possible. And it avoids selecting the enterprise that is outstanding abilities in the certain area but bad at synthetic strength.Concerning the evaluation method, the paper introduces a combination evaluation method (being defined here) into choosing the third-party reverse logistics providers by the recommendation of the common evaluation methods and the comparison of their advantages and disadvantages, integrating the characteristics of the evaluation index system being put forward on this paper.
